About
Built around the fire
Black Iron BBQ started as a weekend trailer and a borrowed offset. Today we're a neighborhood pit room on North Street — still cooking the same way: overnight, over post oak, until the bark sings and the smoke ring tells the truth.
We believe great BBQ is mostly time and attention. Trim carefully. Season simply. Keep the fire clean. Slice to order. That's the whole playbook — and we're stubborn about sticking to it.
Come hungry. Leave with sauce on your shirt and a reason to come back.
The wood
East Texas post oak only. Clean burn, steady heat, and a smoke that seasons instead of overwhelms.
The room
Counter service, picnic tables, cold drinks, and a line that moves when the meat's ready — not before.
